Irish Film Festival 2020: Talkback session for One Million Dubliners Online

A picture containing outdoor, sign, person, photoDescription automatically generatedNSU Professor David Kilroy will lead the discussion for the film One Million Dubliners. Don't miss!

This year the annual NSU Irish Film Festival will be held virtually.  You can view the movies at your own pace and then join us on Zoom for Talkback sessions on each film.

Film synopsis: Glasnevin Cemetery is the final resting place of 1.5 million souls; it is Ireland's national necropolis. ONE MILLION DUBLINERS reveals the often-unspoken stories of ritual, loss, redemption, emotion, history - and the business of death. But this is really a film about life: the Saint Valentine's Day rush in the florists; the American visitors eagerly searching for Irish ancestors; lost and longed for love; discovery and bereavement; earthy gravediggers and musicians in celebration.

To view the film before the discussion please go to the Kanopy collection here: https://www.broward.org/Library/EMedia/Pages/default.aspx

You will need to login with your Broward County Library card number and once in you'll create an account within Kanopy to view the films.
