Should I Share It: Navigating News on Social Media
Do you see newsworthy events on your social media feeds? How often do you share a post with friends before fact checking the information? When a news event goes viral, photos and memes spread quickly with little concern as to whether the infomation is accurate.
In this workshos, you will learn:
- How to differentiate between news, opinion, and entertainment
- How to quickly fact check a post before sharing it
This event is for high school students. It is in collaboration with the NSU Humanities Center's Ban Me: Humanities Express series. Registration is required and available here.
