What’s Different for Power Publishing Day 2024

This year, we have two tracks about publishing—academic, scholarly publication and fiction/nonfiction publishing.

Come join us on Thursday, January 25, 2024 for a day of learning about academic publishing from publishers, editors, and NSU faculty. You will not want to miss this opportunity to meet editors and reps from publishing houses including Clarivate, Elsevier, Emerald, IEEE, IGI, SAGE, Lyrasis, HCBE, Cambridge University Press, and more.

AND we have added a track for fiction/nonfiction publishing for those of you who want to navigate that world, with published authors, the South Florida Writers Association, self-publishing, agents and marketing your work.

Learn about:

  • getting your research published, including case studies
  • AI in academic publishing
  • publishing initiatives for Open Access
  • the impact of academic research on society
  • a panel of published authors sharing their experiences
  • and more...

Plus, network with your colleagues and other academics in our community.

There is no cost to attend but registration is required. You can attend in person or online. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served. This event is open to NSU faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the public. The event will be held at the Alvin Sherman Library at 3100 Ray Ferrero Jr. Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314

If you can’t make it to the event, register for any Zoom session to receive a link to the presentation recordings.
